Our God is a Loving Father. He is the Most Loving and Most Caring Being the world the world has ever known. He created the world out of love. After the fall of man He redeemed the world out of love. Love is therefore the essence of God. In 1 John 4:8 St. John defines God as Love: “God is Love.” In the Mystery of the Trinity God the Father is the Lover; our Lord Jesus Christ is the Beloved Son of God the Father while the Holy Spirit is the Love that unites the Father and the Son.
Reflecting on God’s Love St. Paul wrote in his letter to the Ephesians 2:4-10, “God, who is rich in mercy, out of the great love with which he loved us, even when we were dead through our trespasses, made us alive together with Christ (by grace you have been saved), and raised us up with him, and made us sit with him in the heavenly places in Christ Jesus, that in the coming ages he might show the immeasurable riches of his grace in kindness towards us in Christ Jesus. For by grace you have been saved through faith; and this is not your own doing, it is the gift of God – not because of works, lest any man should boast. For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand, that we should walk in them.
Our Lord Jesus Chris is the Exalted Son of God. In the gospel of John 3:14-21 our Lord Jesus Christ said to Nicodemus, “As Moses lifted up the serpent in the wilderness, so must the Son of man be lifted up, that whoever believes in him may have eternal life.” Our Lord Jesus Christ is indeed the exalted and the glorified Son of God.
As St. Paul rightly declares in Philippians 2:9-11 “God has highly exalted Him and given Him the name which is above every name, that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of those in heaven, and of those on earth, and of those under the earth, and that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.”
Our Lord Jesus Christ is also God’s Gift of love to the world. John 3:16 declares, “For God so loved the world that he gave his only-begotten Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life.” Our Lord Jesus Christ is not just the gift of God to the world He is also the channel of Eternal Life. Through Him the salvation of all the believers is guaranteed.
Jesus is our Saviour! “For God sent the Son into the world, not to condemn the world, but that the world might be saved through him…” Child of God, our Lord Jesus Christ has not come to condemn you; according to the gospel of John 10:10, Jesus came into the world for you to have life in abundance. So, don’t condemn yourself! Don’t allow anybody to condemn you and do not condemn your fellow human being.
As St. John rightly declares, “He who believes in him is not condemned; he who does not believe is condemned already, because he has not believed in the name of the only-begotten Son of God.” St. Mark also declares, “He who believes and is baptized will be saved; but he who does not believe will be condemned.” (Mark 16:16).
Child of God, as long as you believe in Christ Jesus and as you remain connected to Him there is no condemnation for you. There is therefore now no condemnation to those who are in Christ Jesus, who do not walk according to the flesh, but according to the Spirit. For the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus has made me free from the law of sin and death. (Romans 8:1-2) You are hereby declared free from every spirit of condemnation – in Jesus name – Amen!
Our Lord Jesus Christ is also our Channel of Light. St. John declares, “This is the judgment, that the light has come into the world, and men loved darkness rather than light, because their deeds were evil. For every one who does evil hates the light, and does not come to the light, lest his deeds should be exposed. But he who does what is true comes to the light, that it may be clearly seen that his deeds have been wrought in God.”
Through our Lord Jesus Christ Light has come into the world, into your family and into your life. With this light, you are hereby declared free from darkness and eternal damnation. And I connect you to Eternal Life in the name of God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit – Amen!
As our Lord Jesus Christ rightly observed The Light has come into the world but people prefer darkness. A typical example is what happened in 2 Chronicles 36:14-23 In those days: All the leading priests and the people were exceedingly unfaithful, following all the abominations of the nations; and they polluted the house of the Lord which he had hallowed in Jerusalem.
The Lord, the God of their fathers, sent persistently to them by his messengers, because he had compassion on his people and on his dwelling place; but they kept mocking the messengers of God, despising his words, and scoffing at his prophets till the wrath of the Lord rose against his people, till there was no remedy.
Just like Jesus Christ God raised Cyrus the King of of Persia rebuild Hs Temple: “Thus says Cyrus king of Persia, ‘The Lord, the God of heaven, has given me all the kingdoms of the earth, and he has charged me to build him a house at Jerusalem, which is in Judah. Whoever is among you of all his people, may the Lord his God be with him. Let him go up.’”
